GILLEÁN MAC SCOLÓIGE (JULIAN FARMER) r.1960

Dá mbeadh áilleacht ann;
dá ndéanfaí
rud álainn
is dá snífeadh beatha trí
néaróga is féitheoga,
is dá mbeadh drithlíní iontu mar abhainn
ag rince sa tanalacht;

má tá deamhothúcháin
eadrainn beirt
is má tá solas
gan dorchú
le teacht
an gheimhridh,
mairfidh sé go buan.

Aistriúchán: Pádraig Ó Roidigh
