Mari Maxwell was born in Dublin. She returned to Connemara from the USA in 2008. Her work has appeared online and in print publications in the USA and Ireland. Among them: Haiku J, Crannóg, Bray Arts Journal, Revival, Boyne Berries, The First Cut; and, Daily Bites of Flesh 2011. She received second place for short story in the 2008 Dromineer Literary Festival.
