9-11-2026 Dedication

Light two candles

With remembrance of that day.
Clear, blue skies,
Turned to fire, death and ruin.
For heroes saving lives,
Selfless courage,
Climbing to their doom.

Light two candles

Recalling neighbors survival.
Dust covered,
Walking in shocked sensation.
For neighbors absence,
Parked cars remain,
Last train left the station.

Light two candles

So fighting will end.
Merchants of war,
Bankrupt, closed for business.
Pray peace will come,
In this lifetime,
For all to witness.
