Shriven at Dusk

Wind-torn and bent
The drooped branches
Dip to the ground
Search for the aromatic roots
As the rising pink moon in Libra waxes over
Voices of grief, executed on the eastern wind
A frequency of doom.
While the bullish gluttonous Finch
Eats greedily in the plum tree
Evades the dull cat, mouth agape, watching from below.
As the evening light dissolves
It evens out the land.
