sandraThe Ballad of Reading Gaol by Oscar Wilde will be performed at the Múscailt Arts Festival by Rab Fulton and Sandra Coffey.

Oscar Wilde’s final work is a heart-breaking insight into his time in Reading Prison, where he served two years of hard labour for being homosexual.

Storyteller and performer Rab Fulton delivers a powerful interpretation of the entire poem. Complete with subtle props and appearances by co-performer Sandra Coffey, this show brings to vivid life the harrowing experience of Oscar Wilde’s imprisonment and the hanging of one of his fellow prisoners.
