Four short poems by G. David Schwartz
One Bad Day
One bad day my heart did collapse
I fell down on my own ass
Then it happened, I do not lie
A very red bird went flying by
I Talked About Horse Sense
I talked about horse sense
Whoa, the way to get money
To pay the bills with oats
I supposes thats not that funny
I Don’t Like Washing Dishes
I don’t like washing dishes
and I don’t like dirty ones
If I was a jokester this I’d be
A nice place for some puns
My Grandpa Told Me One Day
My grandpa told me one day
it is nice to turn old and gray
not a believer I had to wait
Until today’s daily date.
